Meet the Owner / About HV
High Voltage Boutique was founded in 2019 by Sara Knapke. In the beginning, High Voltage was an exclusively online company operating out of our small “showroom” (that was actually a spare bedroom in Sara’s house). Roughly six months after its conception, High Voltage secured its storefront in rural Ft Recovery, Ohio. The historic building was given a full makeover and was a thriving oasis for fashion, contemporary style, and self-expression.
After three years of serving the comunity in Ft Recovery, High Voltage made the dificult decision to relocated to a gorgeous downtown storefront in Celina Ohio. Celina has been the home of HV’s storefront since 2022.
At High Voltage’s start Sara was in her mid-twenties and still figuring out what her style truly was. As the sole buyer for the company, she sourced clothing and accessories that fit into her lifestyle and what sparked her interest at that moment. As she aged her style evolved into a more mature, contemporary palette and HV evolved with her.
Fast forward to present, who does HV buy for?
High Voltage buys for: A 20 to 50-something woman, who feels too mature for the juniors section yet doesn’t quite fit into the “womens section” either. She is smart, creative, confident and comfortable in all aspects of her being. She is a free spirit who dances to the beat of her own drum. She is sweet but tough, tomboy but also romantic, and prefers leather or lace depending on the drink in her glass. She likes to keep busy with travel, friends, family, and her career, and can't resist petting any dog that passes her by on the street.
